Your Wedding at Abbey Pumping Station

An unusual venue for a wedding, The Engine House is ideal for those looking for an intimate setting and who appreciate the magnificent achievement of Victorian engineering. The adjoining Electric Switch Room is available for a champagne reception after your ceremony. Alternatively you may wish to use our marquee in the museum grounds, which has seating for up to 200 guests.
Approximately 1 mile away from the museum is the Great Central Railway, Leicester North Railway Station which is able to provide a wedding reception with a difference on a moving train, which would need to be arranged separately with the Railway.
Ceremonies at the Abbey Pumping Station can be held on a Monday to Friday at 11.00am, 2.30pm or 3.00pm and on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday at 11.00am, 1.00pm or 3.00pm.
Couples are required to arrange the Registrar to conduct the ceremony, for which there is a separate Registrars fee.
